Two More Days!
Attention: We have a few important things to discuss, so please read to the end: 1st. We have now completed the April Challenge with the breathing and steps – where if you finished both parts (the mental and physical aspects) then please state so on your next post because we will be doing the raffle for Tuesday night’s post. 2nd. The May Challenge is: the Murph Push-Up Challenge! This is for the physical component and it is normally 3 days of push-ups with 1 day of rest. So, if you miss a day, that will be the rest day. Each night, the push-up configuration will be posted and at the box as well. The mental component will be the cold shower. Week one, of 5 showers you take, the cold spell must be 30 seconds. Week two, of 5 showers you take, the cold spell must be 45 seconds. Week three, of 5 showers you take, 1 minute. At week 4, the final week, it will be 1 minute and 30 seconds. I know a lot of you are cringing at this, and there will be more information to come, but get started:) 3rd. Congratulations to those who attempted and/or finished the Home Health Challenge during a pandemic as it was a really tough time to do something like this and we are proud of everyone and know each of you are fitter for trying. 4th. Equipment Return this Monday and Tuesday – remember to get your equipment back either between 6 and 7 a.m. or 4:30 and 6:00 p.m. on either day. 5th. Given that all equipment is being returned, at this time we will cancel the Oly Lifting Zoom Class that had been planned for the night of May 5th with Coach Ben. 6th. Re-Opening and General New Guidelines for Wednesday, May 6, 2020: a. Class Times During the Week: 5:00 a.m., 6:15 a.m., 9 a.m., 12 p.m., 4:15 p.m., 5:30 p.m., and 6:45 p.m. Class Times on Saturday: 7 a.m., 8:45 a.m., and 10 a.m. Class time on Sunday: 10 a.m. b. Please sign up for class as our classes are capped and it is paramount that we have records of who is coming in and out of the box every day. c. At this time, we have made the hard decision that no children will be permitted in the box to meet the requirements needed and we apologize for any inconvenience this causes. d. We will be following the State and County Requirements which means the following: i. Masks must be worn into the box and leaving but may be taken off during any high intensity workout. Please note that you will be expected to bring your own mask. We will have extras if you forget but we are not providing them daily. ii. No physical contact at all as 10 feet is required in the workout area, where we have measured and placed blue tape markers throughout. Also, upon entrance, we are asking that you bring in the least amount of items, just keys/phone, 1 water bottle are preferred, and specifically no gym bags, as we require that each of you place your items in one of the white kiosks/cubbies and then move out of the front area into the gym space. iii. The classes will be instructor led, from beginning to end now, so please be on time, and prepared. iv. Please do not come into the box more than 5 minutes early for the class, and if you do arrive early if you could remain in your car that would be helpful. v. We ask that the bathrooms are not used as change rooms if possible, and kept open for frequent hand washing. vi. We have vital oxide disinfectant spray bottles available with other cleaning supplies and you will be briefed at each class on what the coach prefers for cleaning.
We realize this is a lot but we are known for being a safe and clean box and we plan to uphold that. On a positive note, we have added a large matted space to give each of our members more room and spent the whole weekend making sure the box is spic and span for you – we also are so excited to see everyone on Wednesday and going forward!
