ATTENTION:
Several announcements to make for this week:
First, given New Year’s is this week, the holiday class schedule will be as follows: Monday: normal schedule (it is also the “Smallest Winner” Challenge Wod #1 – see below); Tuesday: there will be classes at 6 am, 9 am, 12 pm, and 4:30 pm; Wednesday (Happy New Year’s Day!): there will be classes at special times: 10 am, and 11 am only; Thursday: return to normal schedule; Friday: normal schedule (“Smallest Winner” Challenge Wod #2 – see below) and at 6:30 pm will be the Nutrition talk and layout for the “Smallest Winner” Challenge that will start on Monday, January 6, 2014!
Second, we just want to give a reminder as it is the season where cold and flu can come up. We ask that if you are sick, please take that day or two off to properly heal up before coming back – we want everyone healthy and happy!
Third, and finally, the “Smallest Winner” 🙂 Nutrition and Fitness Challenge will be starting on January 6, 2014! It will be a 30 day Challenge. We are encouraging all of our members and their significant others to participate – even if you do not have a lot of weight to lose, etc. for the following big reason: This is a chance to give your body a re-start so to speak. If you are like the majority of people, for the last two months (since Halloween approximately) you have been more relaxed with your eating choices and now you are feeling sluggish, out of shape, heavier, and blah about things you are normally excited about (ie. working out, etc.), or you are getting your wods in, but you may be more prone to injuries, your skin is breaking out, your hair is lackluster, you have gotten sick, you feel tired/run down, and you are more comfortable on the couch then getting outside or coming to CrossFit Helo. If any of these possibilities are ringing true, then this Challenge is meant for you! We are having the two Challenge wods this Monday and Friday which everyone needs to complete before the Challenge starts on the 6th, the talk which will outline the guidelines for participating will be on Friday, the 3rd, at 6:30 pm. If you want to participate but can’t get in the wods on those days or make it to the Friday talk – please let one of the coaches know asap so we can get you set up with an alternative time/date. We are excited and we hope you will give this Challenge a shot as if you commit wholeheartedly you are bound to see a myriad of improvements both mentally, emotionally and physically!!
