Attention: First, congratulations to all members who completed the Open! Our plaque will be updated in the next two weeks and the official age group winners will be announced on Tuesday night. Everyone did amazing and you each inspire me when I get to watch you bring it in every Wod. In CrossFit we say you can’t hide who you are as it will expose your weaknesses and push your limits. I am proud of how everyone did while under pressure and thank you for representing CF Helo so well!!! While this game day is over, we now all have the opportunity to practice and hone our skills as we prepare for the next competition/trip/or benchmark wod, at which time we will toe the line and give it our all again. We all want to take an honest look at our weaknesses and then get our butts in the box and train to eliminate them. Given that during the Open we do everything we can to get those reps now we have a chance to enjoy our wods, each other, and the process of working towards reaching our goals.
Second, Julia and I attended the Business for Excellence Seminar over the weekend put on by Ben Bergeron from CrossFit New England with Chris Spealler in attendance at Park City CrossFit and we have lots of great things coming your way – with the summer coming up we are excited to have some fun!! More info on this will be forthcoming.
Third, we are also going to start carrying Fuel For Fire. Their product is called a “Fuel Pack” which is basically real food (bananas, apples, and or sweet potatoes) and 10 grams of whey protein in a squeezable pouch. It’s unsweetened, gluten-free, and contains nothing artificial. The packs are great for pre/post workouts or just a quick healthy pick me up.
